and then winter is here

This last weekend/week was amazing!
Last Thursday it snowed and I was SO happy. I love fall, it's my favorite season, but winter is probably my second favorite. I know, call me crazy, but I think it is so fun!
Friday night we had my brother-in-law and his cute girlfriend over for dinner and games. It was a blast as always. Then Saturday afternoon Scott surprised me with a weekend getaway for our anniversary.
He took me to dinner at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building (where we had our wedding reception) and had the most amazing view of the Salt Lake City Temple (where we got married). It was perfect and so delicious.
After dinner we walked around temple square and city creek. Then Scott took me to the cutest little bakery for dessert.
I also pulled my dress out of storage to try it on for fun and surprisingly it fit. Yay
Monday night we put up our Christmas decorations while listening to Christmas music.
Then we made popcorn and hot chocolate and watched elf. Because you can't start the Christmas season without watching elf.
And yesterday I made an apple pie from scratch for the Friendsgiving celebration we're attending tonight.
I love the Holidays!
